Since Ms. Rona has pretty much canceled the first quarter of 2020, creating an at-home spa during quarantine is a perfect way to forget about all this craziness and relax, relate, release.
Here are 5 home spa activities that can help ease stress and anxiety during this unexpected pandemic…

1. Treat Yo’ Self
Treating yourself is always a good idea. And there are several ways you can do so while you are practicing social distancing. For example:
- Give yourself a mani/pedi
- Apply a hair mask
- Light candles and take a nice long soothing bath
- Do an at home facial
- Put on your favorite PJ’s
And the list goes on and on! It’s all about your happiness and wellness. What makes you feel good?

2. Listen to Your Favorite Music
Good music always clams the soul! Now that we have tons of time on our hands, try creating a few playlists that have all of your favorite music. Play it out loud or put on your headphones. After I am done listening to really good music I always feel so much better.

3. Wine anyone?
You can never go wrong with a good glass of wine, yummy snacks, and some good tunes. A nice glass of wine always puts me in a better headspace. Take a sip and relax. Forget about that b*%ch rona for a while.

4. Time for a Good Book
A good way to get lost in something other than this pandemic is a good book. About a week into all of this craziness, I turned off the TV and grabbed a book and poured myself a nice glass of wine. Before I knew it, a few hours had passed, I was a lot less stressed and in a completely different zone.

5. Journaling
Journaling has always allowed me to improve my mental clarity. It is an excellent way to express your inner thoughts, especially during stressful times. And you can also look back one day or pass it on to your family- we are living in historical times.
At Home Spa
This is the first time that I have taken part in self care activities on a consistent basis in a very long time. I feel so much better, both mentally and physically.
I know this is a very stressful time. Everyone is feeling something (or everything) from anxiety to frustration. However, we have to try to stay positive and know that better days are coming. While you waiting for them to get here, create your own at-home spa and stay safe.
