Hot Air Ballooning in Orlando: Choosing Fun Over Fear

Orlando Adventures

I love a good road trip, especially to fun and exciting places like Orlando, FL! There’s always something new to discover. I probably travel to Orlando five times every year or more. And let’s not forget shopping, dining and awesome spots like City Walk and Disney Springs -but we’ll leave those things for another post 😉

Travel Memories

While sitting here in quarantine, I’ve been reminiscing on my past travels and I can’t help but smile when thinking about my choice of adventures! They seem to never be very conventional and I’ve always chosen the route of fun over fear.

Up, Up and Away!

For example, my very first hot air balloon ride. My mom and I hit 95 heading North at a little past 2am on the morning of the flight there. Under normal circumstances, we wouldn’t even consider leaving at that time. However, when you live 2.5 hours away from the meeting location, and the shuttle is scheduled to depart at 6am sharp, no exceptions, 2am it is.

Hot Air Balloon Ride, Check!

Hot air ballooning had been on my bucket list for years, and I was thrilled to finally be able to cross it off. Everything about this experience was fun and exhilarating. And once in the air- relaxing! When we reached the sky it was so still and calming. The views were beautiful and the sound of the hot air running inside the balloon made the entire experience even more thrilling. Everyone was amazed.

Fun Over Fear

Sure, I was a little nervous but at the end of the day I didn’t allow fear to win. And I am so happy I chose to live a little and have a fun time. Riding in a hot air balloon with my mom is something I will never forget.
